Sara Davis, President
Sara Davis is the proud mom to Annabelle (5th grade) and Parker (1st grade). When the kids are at school, Sara is busy working as an Architect alongside her husband and business partner, Kyle. In her free time (what’s that?), Sara enjoys gardening, reading, cooking, and adventures – whether local or across the globe (or, frequently, Disneyland). This school year Sara will be PTA President working to enhance our Lafayette community – for kids, adults, families and friends!
-
Laura Monsey, Vice President
Laura is a lifelong Seattleite and has two sons at Lafayette this year, Beau (5th grade) and Charlie (1st Grade). She works full time in local government and enjoys running, camping, and baking with her kids.
-
Erin Roubik, Co-Treasurer
I am the mom of three very active kids - Ray (4rd grade), Cate (2nd grade), and Lucy (Future Leopard). I am probably best recognizable as the woman with the large flower-wearing black puppy at drop off and pick up. Feel free to come up and say hi to us - she loves an excuse for a stranger to give her a treat. Lafayette will be the first school my kids have spent more than a year attending (and they are very excited about this)! We are a military family who hops between cities but have fallen in love with West Seattle and are doing our best to stay as long as possible. I am a CPA and own my own accounting business, so when I saw the treasurer position open up, I finally felt like I had something to contribute!
-
Sarah Winkle, Co-Treasurer
I’m a mom of two boys, Liam (5th grade) and Rylan (Kindergarten). I’m a full-time parent and part time Bookkeeper. We love baseball, live music, camping, and adventuring into the beautiful wilderness around us! This is my second year on the PTA Board and I’m excited to see what this year brings!
-
Sarah Kleiman, Co-Secretary
Sarah is a proud mom to Naomi (4th grader) and Elle (Lafayette alumni). My family and I moved from California in July 2020 and are enjoying the Seattle area. I’m looking forward to serving on the Board in the Secretary role again this school year! Feel free to email me.
-
Tanya Gardiner, Co-Secretary
Tanya is the lucky mom of two kids, Haaken (2nd Grade) and Teagan (Kinder), and a lifelong resident of West Seattle. She works full time in real estate, and enjoys attending sporting events with her family, traveling, dancing, and reading late into the evening when the house is quiet. This is Tanya’s third year on the PTA Board, and she is so happy to be part of this Lafayette community!
-
Becky Brownlee, Past President
I'm a mom to my last Lafayette learner (Stellan 5th) as well as two Lafayette alums (Juniper 7th & Isabeau 5th). I work full time. I enjoy photography, beach volleyball, glamping, and exploring new places/cultures! We are originally from Virginia (I'm sure you'll notice the southern accent slipping in from time to time) and have been in Seattle since 2015. Excited to bring my project management skills to the PTA and support this wonderful community! Shoot me an email here if you are curious how you can get involved - it's super rewarding!

Lia Aprile, Communications Team: Newsletter
Lia is the mom of three amazing kids, one Lafayette alum: her daughter, Roma (6th grade), one current Leopard: her son, August (2nd grade), and one future Leopard, Maximo, who is still in preschool. In addition to being a full-time mom of three, Lia works as a writer creating scripts and stories for companies of all sizes, so continuing on the Communications role this year is a great fit. This is Lia's fourth year serving on the Lafayette PTA, and she's excited for another great year! She loves being a part of the incredible Lafayette community and continues to be blown away by the spirit of the students, staff, and parents.

Sadie Schnitzler, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
I’m mama to a 6th grader + 1st Grader. A few things about me: My partner + I are IN IT together: we raise our kids + Bernedoodles, are entrepreneurs, grand adventurers and are committed to raising our bicultural kids between Seattle + Nepal. I love travel, national parks, hiking, camping, open (cold) water swimming, road-trips, food: growing it, cooking it, sharing it, eating it. I like connecting with folks to build community around resource sharing, development, culture, art, business + social change. I’m excited to learn alongside this community and foster an environment that is inclusive, accessible and equitable; celebrating the collective culture and diversity along the way. I’d love to build a robust committee of voices to support the mission of making Lafayette a truly inclusive school. Email me!

Megan Tegen, Events Team: Athletics
I’m Megan and a mom to a 5th grade son (Henry) and 2nd grade daughter (Audrey). I work as a Corporate Office Manager and love what I do and who I work with! My experience as a past room parent as well as classroom volunteering pushed me to wanting to be more involved and I enjoy serving on the pta board. As a family we love to spend time outdoors, visiting National Parks, local parks & being tourists in our own city. In my free time I love to work in my garden/yard, read, organize everything, & ski.

Nikki Rice Malki, Fundraising/MAT/Auction
As a former student of Lafayette (1985 - 1991) herself, Nikki is delighted - if not a little weirded out - to have a 2nd grade son of her own (Benjamin) roaming the same halls. Nikki spent the last 25 years in SoCal working in the film/tv industry as a stop motion puppet fabricator, before moving back home to West Seattle to get her son as close to his grandparents as possible. She hopes to continue her work here, hanging out her own shingle as "Puppets Northwest." This is Nikki's second year on the PTA board as Fundraising Chair. She hopes to follow the example that her parents started 4 decades ago as PTA members/OG Acorn Award Winners (read as "not mess it up" HA!) and bring that same level of energy, creativity and service to the Lafayette community and beyond.

Chad Young, Room Parent Coordinator
I am a father of one Lafayette students (Cora, 3rd Grade) and one Lafayette alum (Julian, 6th Grade). After a decade of product management at Amazon, the kids are now my full-time job, though I also do baseball writing and podcasting on the side. In addition to watching too much baseball, I love photography, travel, and soccer. Inspired by my little learners, I have been trying to learn guitar, as well. I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio. My wife, Katie, and I lived in Chicago before we moved to Seattle 12 years ago. This is my 2nd year on the PTA board, and I have been involved in Lafayette over the last six years as a room parent and volunteer, and I look forward to bringing that experience to my role again this year.

Christine Carter, Volunteer Coordinator
-
Jordan Williams, Special Education
My name is Jordan Williams. I am the stay-at-home mom of 2 kiddos, one of which is going into 1st Grade at Lafayette in the focus program, after doing Kinder + 2 years of developmental preschool here at Lafayette where he made some wonderful memories.
I enjoy crafting, reading, and going to Disney with my family! My husband and I are originally from Georgia but have been in Washington for almost 10 years. My family is neurodiverse so I’m really looking forward to applying my knowledge and experience to this role again and continuing to get to know the PTA members and all of the families at Lafayette!

Steve Monsey, Self-Help/Tech Team
-
Jason Eakes, Self-Help/Tech Team
Jason and his wife Brooke have two kids, their daughter Dylan (2nd Grade) and their son Davis (future Leopard). They have lived in West Seattle for 9 years and are long-time Seattle residents. Jason is a West Seattle Little League coach, small business owner and big time Mariners fan. He’s looking forward to helping out the PTA this year!
-
Nicole Crevier, Enrichment Team
I am mom to Genevieve/Evie (4th grade) and Vincent (1st grade). I joined the PTA Board by happy accident last year when I learned they needed help running the Enrichment program. As someone who loves trying new things and can often be found taking a weekend ceramics or botanical dyeing class, it has turned out to be a great fit for me! I feel incredibly lucky to have ended up co-coordinating with Lizzy as we make an awesome team. My day job is working as an Operations and Production Manager in the apparel & fashion industry. In our family's free time we enjoy camping, spending time at the beach, skiing, and exploring the Northwest. In my 'me' time I am always working on a knitting project, managing my library holds list, or trying a new recipe.
-
Lizzy Cordeau, Enrichment Team
I am the proud mom of Zoey (3rd grade) and Julia (kindergarten.) This is my second year on the PTA Board as an Enrichment Coordinator, which is most enjoyable because of my partner, Nicole. I really had no idea how much fun I’d have in this role, between picking classes, working with vendors and Lafayette teachers, and most of all, meeting your awesome kids! When I’m not working on Enrichment I’m either working on building my art sales business, or doing something active. As a lifelong East Coaster, I have spent the last 10 years in Seattle pursuing lots of outdoor passions ranging from camping, paddle boarding, triathlons, hiking and gasp even running. I love hearing people’s experiences at Lafayette and am always eager to persuade people into volunteering! Reach out anytime with questions: LizzyCordeau@gmail.com

Jenny is thrilled to be in the Lafayette community and serving on the PTA. Go Leopards!
