Stay after SEL Pizza night for a Live Stream of "Raising Resilient Kids in the Digital Age," a West Seattle community conversation hosted by Gatewood Elementary about social media, smartphones, and a mental health epidemic. Join us to discuss the impacts, causes, and solutions for our community, with an option to pledge to wait until high school for smartphones and age 16 for social media accounts. The panel will be summarizing the contents of the book “The Anxious Generation”, by Jonathan Haidt, and offering perspectives from local doctors, parents, and mental health professionals, including:
Jillian Moshay, MD - Lafayette Parent
Elizabeth Jordan, MD - Genesee Hill Parent
Caitlyn McGuire, teacher - Gatewood Parent
Megan Fisher, LMHC - Gatewood Parent
We will then conclude the evening with a short update on PTA General Meeting business!
